Canon RF 24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM – Performance. Some of Canon’s consumer-level RF lenses rely heavily on digital lens corrections, and this is one of them. Uncorrected, any images shot at the shortest 24mm focal length will have such strong barrel distortion that the corners of the image turn black.
EF 24-105 f/4 (used) vs RF 24-105 f4-7.1. I am finally retiring my 400d and moving to full frame with a Canon RP. I will need an every day zoom to replace my 17-50mm f/2.8 Tamron crop lens. A used EF 24-105 f/4 costs about the same as the rf 24-105mm f4-7.1.
