Then a few miles into my journey home, the dash came up saying that the AC was off due to high engine temperature. I checked my engine temp gauge, and it hadn't moved at all - and didn't move the entire 30 mile journey home (still in 1C). The engine didn't seem to be struggling, and we weren't overly warm in the car - and I never turn the AC on!
FIXITNOW. 25 posts ยท Joined 2005. #8 ยท Aug 15, 2005. turn on ing switch and radio so both powers are on. turn off radio with its on / off switch leave ing switch on. hold in button marked AS turn radio on then release AS button now enter code. then hold AS button in again untill you hear bleep through speakers.
Step 1. Disconnect the car battery for an hour in an attempt to reset all of the ECN codes stored. Step 2. Reconnnect battery and check that all codes have gone. Step 3. The Astra J and Insignia A keys are effectively the same,it's standard on these later cars for all keys to be erased then programmed back in so it's best to make sure you have all the keys before starting, otherwise you have to go through a complete erase/reprogram to get any you've missed
