It's perfectly possible to reset these radios, I offer it in the shop as a service. Opel / Vauxhall can do it by re-writing the configuration via a VCI code. Usually Vauxhall dealers don't want to ask, or Opel refuse to create the new configuration. I do it a different way. Richard Peck. www.diagnostics.org.uk.
Then a few miles into my journey home, the dash came up saying that the AC was off due to high engine temperature. I checked my engine temp gauge, and it hadn't moved at all - and didn't move the entire 30 mile journey home (still in 1C). The engine didn't seem to be struggling, and we weren't overly warm in the car - and I never turn the AC on!

Step 1. Disconnect the car battery for an hour in an attempt to reset all of the ECN codes stored. Step 2. Reconnnect battery and check that all codes have gone. Step 3. The Astra J and Insignia A keys are effectively the same,it's standard on these later cars for all keys to be erased then programmed back in so it's best to make sure you have all the keys before starting, otherwise you have to go through a complete erase/reprogram to get any you've missed
